Targets for Peace and Love
__________

Worksheet for Developing a Target

We're delighted that you have chosen to identify a Target for our Targets for Peace and Love Project. This worksheet explains the two elements of a Target and helps you get started to develop specific targets on your own.

Peace on Earth

It's helpful to have both the Target and the Intention clearly and positively stated so that the Target attracts love and light and peace. A high intention supports a powerful process — a high intention doesn't make anyone wrong nor does it manipulate. This is a project in consciousness rather than a vehicle for trying to make someone do something, no matter how worthy you believe that "something" is.

You may identify as many Targets as you want, as often as you like. You may find that it's more helpful to write two or three Targets rather than trying to squeeze everything into one. You'll find it easier to focus your attention on individual, specific, clear targets.

We hope that you find this to be an empowering experience. Please note: We're no longer posting these Targets at this Web site. However, we welcome your sending your Intention and Target via email (see out Contact Page) so that Jeanie can hold them in her consciousness. Also, during the month of August, you can post them at the DailyAffirm Blog.

First, Identify Your Target
_____

Your Target tells you where to place your attention.

State your target briefly and clearly, without hyperbole. It's more effective to state the Target in the positive rather than the negative (for example, "John's Health" or "John" rather than "John's Cancer.") The most simply stated targets work the best.

Please review the Specific Targets already posted for additional ideas.

Then, State Your Intention
______

Your Intention tells you how to place your attention on your Target.

Remember, it's important to create a high intention. Here are some hints: Place yourself in the consciousness of the "Highest good for all concerned" before you write. Many target writers find it helpful to begin their statements of intention with a phrase like "We embrace....." or "Our loving thoughts are with......" Your final statement of intention may or may not include such a beginning phrase, but you'll find that it gets your thoughts flowing in the proper direction.

Please also review other statements of intention that have been posted among the Specific Targets.
